Jenn-Air ovens use the Whirlpool family of controls, which is why their fault codes read as a pair, an F followed by an E, such as F2E0. The F identifies the system or category of fault and the E narrows it to a specific condition. Once you know the pairing, a Jenn-Air oven code is fairly readable, and many point to the keypad or control rather than the oven itself.
The Common Paired Codes
| Code | Typical Meaning | What We Do |
|---|---|---|
| F2 E0 | Stuck key on the touch panel | Clean the panel, replace if it persists |
| F2 E1 | Keypad or user-interface fault | Test and replace the control panel |
| F1 E1 | Control board fault | Power cycle, then test the board |
| F3 Ex | Oven temperature sensor circuit | Ohm-test the sensor, replace if faulty |
Reading Them in Practice
An F2E0 or F2E1 usually means the control thinks a key is stuck or the touch panel is faulty, common as panels age. A F1 pairing points to the main control board. An F3 pairing points to the oven temperature sensor circuit, which is one of the more mechanical, fixable faults, we ohm-test the sensor and replace it if it is out of range. A single power cycle is worth trying before assuming a part.
When to Call
A paired code that returns after a power cycle, a faulty touch panel, or an oven that will not heat needs a technician. Our Jenn-Air maintenance guide covers prevention, and our refrigeration guide covers Jenn-Air cooling.
