What We Fix

A wine cabinet is a refrigerator asked to do something harder: hold a narrow band of temperature and humidity, keep two zones apart, and do it quietly enough to live in a living room. Boulder's dry climate makes humidity control work overtime, and a cabinet full of aging bottles is not something you want drifting warm for a week. We repair the full range of wine and beverage storage.

  • Built-in, undercounter, and integrated wine columns (424, 427, 430 and 400-series)
  • Dual-zone cabinets where the two zones read the same temperature
  • Thermistor and sensor faults that throw the set point off
  • Condensation, fogged glass doors, and blocked drains
  • Evaporator and circulation fan motors, and UV-tinted door seals
  • Vibration and noise complaints that matter in a quiet room
  • Control boards, displays, and interior lighting

Common Problems We See

  • Zones will not separate. A stuck damper or failed zone thermistor collapses the two set points into one.
  • Cabinet runs warm. A frosted evaporator, a tired fan, or a low sealed-system charge.
  • Water inside or fog on the glass. A leaking seal, a clogged drain, or a humidity setting fighting the room.
  • Compressor cycles too often. A drifting sensor telling the board the wrong temperature.
  • Bottles vibrating. A worn fan bearing or a loose compressor mount transmitting hum into the racks.

Typical Causes

Wine storage lives or dies by its sensors. A thermistor that reads a couple of degrees off will hold the whole cabinet at the wrong temperature while the display insists everything is correct, which is why so many wine-cooler calls end with a sensor replacement rather than a compressor. Dampers that stick, drain lines that clog with the light sediment a humidified box produces, and door seals that lose their grip after years of UV all follow close behind. Because the failures are subtle, we verify with a calibrated probe rather than trusting the front panel.

We protect the collection. Before any sealed-system work, we plan for the bottles: relocating temperature-sensitive vintages or scheduling around a short cabinet-down window so your storage is not exposed to a warm room longer than it has to be.

Brands We Service

Sub-Zero wine storage is our specialty, and we also service wine and beverage cabinets from Sub-Zero, True Residential, Liebherr, Thermador, Miele, and other high-end lines. See the full brands list.

Wine Cooler Repair FAQ

My Two Wine Zones Are Reading the Same Temperature. Can That Be Fixed?
Yes. A dual-zone cabinet uses a damper or a second evaporator plus its own thermistor to hold each zone apart. When the zones drift together, the usual causes are a stuck damper, a failed thermistor, or a control fault. We test the sensors and the damper motor to find which one is lying to the board.
Why Is There Condensation Inside My Wine Cooler?
Some condensation is normal in a humidity-controlled cabinet, but pooling water or a fogged glass door usually means a door seal is leaking, the drain is blocked, or the unit is cycling too hard. We check the gasket, the drain path, and the set humidity before replacing anything.
Do You Service Built-In and Integrated Wine Columns?
Yes. We service built-in, undercounter, and integrated wine and beverage columns, including Sub-Zero 424 and 400-series cabinets and comparable units from other high-end brands, with OEM thermistors, fans, and control parts.
