What We Fix

A professional range is two appliances sharing one frame: a set of high-output sealed burners and a heavy oven cavity, each with its own controls and failure modes. In Boulder kitchens these ranges do serious work, and the parts that wear are predictable. We repair dual-fuel and all-gas ranges across the high-end field.

  • Sealed gas burners with clicking, weak, or dead ignition
  • Dual-fuel electric ovens with bake and broil element or igniter faults
  • Convection fan motors and baffles that stopped circulating heat
  • Oven temperature sensors and drifting calibration
  • Spark modules, spark switches, and gas valves
  • Control boards, displays, and door hinges and gaskets
  • Self-clean latch and thermal-limit faults

Common Problems We See

  • Burner clicks but will not light. A fouled igniter, a crooked cap, or a weak spark module.
  • Oven runs hot or cold. A drifting temperature sensor or a control that lost calibration.
  • Uneven baking. A failing convection fan or a weak bake igniter on a dual-fuel oven.
  • All burners keep clicking. Moisture or spillover shorting the spark switch.
  • Oven will not heat at all. An open igniter or element, or a failed safety valve.

Typical Causes

On the cooktop, most ignition problems are spillover: food and cleaner work into the igniter and burner cap until the spark cannot jump cleanly, and the burner clicks without catching. On the oven side, the two usual suspects are the temperature sensor and the ignition or heating element. A sensor drifting a few degrees will bake unevenly long before it fails outright, and a dual-fuel bake igniter that has weakened will glow but never draw enough current to open the gas valve. We measure the cavity temperature and the igniter draw rather than guessing from the symptom.

Gas work is done right. Our technicians handle gas ranges with the correct leak checks and part specifications. If we find a gas valve or supply concern, we tell you plainly and do not put the range back in service until it is safe.

Brands We Service

Wolf ranges are our cooking specialty, and we also repair ranges from Wolf, Viking, Thermador, Dacor, La Cornue, Miele, and other high-end lines. See the full brands list.

Range Repair FAQ

A Burner Clicks but Will Not Light on My Wolf Range. Why?
A clicking-but-not-lighting burner is usually a spark igniter fouled by spillover, a cap seated crooked, or a weak spark from the ignition module. On a sealed-burner Wolf range we clean and align the igniter first, then test the module and switch, so the burner lights on the first click again.
My Oven Bakes Unevenly at Altitude. Is That the Range or the Recipe?
Both are worth checking, but uneven baking that got worse over time is usually the appliance: a weak bake igniter, a failing convection fan, or a drifting oven sensor. We verify the actual cavity temperature against the set point before deciding, since Boulder's altitude changes baking but not the hardware.
Do You Work on Dual-Fuel and All-Gas Ranges?
Yes. We service dual-fuel ranges with gas cooktops and electric ovens, and all-gas ranges, including Wolf and other high-end lines, with OEM igniters, sensors, fan motors, and control parts.
